Selected users who are a part of the PS5 beta will get access to a new PS5 update today, which includes a welcome DualSense audio upgrade.

After the PlayStation State of Play event last week, including Death Stranding 2 being announced, we're now seeing some brand new features roll out for PS5 beta users in a new PS5 update, making it a pretty busy week for Sony. Selected users who've registered for the PS5 beta will now have access to brand-new features on their PS5 consoles, including enhanced DualSense audio and interactive Share Screens.

Only users in certain countries can access the PS5 update, even if they're registered for the PS5 beta. These include the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany, and France. Those who are selected to access the PS5 update features will receive an email invite today once it's available to download.

Sony has detailed the new features coming to the latest PS5 beta update in a PlayStation blog post, also stating that it plans to roll out the update to all PS5 users globally in the coming months. However, it's worth noting that Sony says some features available during the beta phase may not make it into the final version or will be significantly changed.

Here are all the latest features included in the latest PS5 beta update.

PS5 update for PS5 beta users – what's included

DualSense wireless controller built-in mic and speaker audio enhancements

With this update, you may feel that the sounds coming from your controller speaker may sound louder. You can adjust the controller speaker volume from the control center.

Share screen interactions

Players watching Share Screen in full-screen mode can now use pointers and emoji reactions to interact with the host’s gameplay.

Adjust brightness of PS5 power indicator

You can now adjust the brightness of your PS5 console’s power indicator.

As stated above, only selected participants get access to these features for the time being. However, typically we see PS5 beta features roll out for a full release once bugs are ironed out.
