Superdrug, and its sister company Savers, has announced plans to hire 500 apprentices in 2024.

This comes after the health and beauty companies managed to reach over 80% of their target to recruit 500 new apprentices within three years, by 2023. Amy Davies, Superdrug's people director, said: "Our apprenticeship scheme is incredibly important to us as a business and we are so pleased that last year was so successful."

She added: "We are so passionate about offering the UK's young people opportunities and the scheme is critical for developing talent for the future." She added: "Our aim is not only to give young people the best entry into retail that we can, but also to help them grow and develop in their roles, so they choose to progress their careers within our businesses."

National Apprenticeship Week 2024 will run from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 February.
