Furious 'sleep deprived' neighbours have written a wince-inducing letter to the couple living next door to remind them they can hear everything that goes on behind closed doors.
The letter, posted on Reddit, states the neighbours are often disturbed by the pair's "noisy daily life" of loud talking and music, but it's the sounds they hear in the early hours of the morning that are more of a cause for concern.
It reads that children are being left "traumatised" by the noises and it even threatens to put in an official complaint against the couple, as well as naming and shaming them on a local Facebook group.
The note, thought to have been sent in New South Wales, Australia, says: "To the new neighbours who moved in - located at the back of the units right above the laundry and closest to the car park/clothes lines. YOUR WALLS ARE PAPER THIN."
It complains they were woken up "mortified" by the pair's bedroom activities in the early hours, continuing: "You are showing very little respect for the people living all around you who have little kids who are traumatised by the noises!!
Viral sausage roll debate leaves Brits confused about how to order at Greggs"Your sexcapade was then followed by laughing and chatting until early morning hours. We can actually hear every word you say. Can you please keep it down.
"And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS when you have sex because it is NOT SEXY AT ALL."
It goes on to warn that when they leave the bathroom door open, the shower is in full view of people on the path outside, "like the previous owners learned the embarrassing way".
It was signed off anonymously from "sleep-deprived neighbours" and one person commented on the post on Reddit to say: "I'm more concerned they can hear your conversations while talking... your walls must be stupidly thin. That's ridiculous."
What appears to be one of the recipients of the note then replied to say: "To be honest, I should have realised this when my plug socket came straight out of the wall when I unplugged my charger the other day. No wonder this place is so cheap."
Others encouraged them to crank up the volume further, arguing the note could have been more polite, to which they said: "Like in all honestly, as funny as the encouragement to just be even louder is - I don't actually want to disturb my neighbours' sleep and I don't particularly want them to hear me having sex.
"So of course I'm going to try and keep it down and shut my goddamn windows. Just don't be a d*** about in next time... But also thanks for the meme, Karen."
