Kaley Cuoco admitted she almost “strangled” a rude woman during a flight who complained about her baby daughter.
The 38-year-old is mother to nine-month-old Matilda, who she shares with partner Tom Pelphrey, and during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she candidly shared a very relatable account of her daughter’s first plane journey. Kaley, who welcomed Matilda in March last year, revealed she and Tom had decided to fly with their daughter over Thanksgiving, but all hell broke loose when they tried to get her to sleep.
“I was so terrified. So I thought, ‘What do we do? We have to bring her sound machine on the plane.' It’s the only thing she can go to sleep to. So she’s crying. It was hard. She finally falls asleep and she’s on Tom and the sound machine is on and we were finally like…” The Big Bang Theory star sighed.

But their relief was shortlived, as one of the air stewards came over to relay a request from one of the irked passengers. “The steward comes over and he’s like, ‘Hey, one of our passengers would love it if you would turn the sound machine off.’ And I’m sitting there, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god,’” she recalled.
Brooklyn Beckham sparks backlash again with 'Scouse soup' after pasta fiasco“And I can feel Tom be like, ‘Hey, ask the passenger if she wants to hold our screaming child when we turn it off.’ And I mean, the ice went into his veins. I couldn’t believe, by the way, she asked us to turn it off!” she exclaimed, with host Jimmy - who is dad to four kids - to empathise with her stressful ordeal.
“That is so crazy. And what a terrible job to have to be a flight attendant and have to deliver a message of that type,” he added. Kaley continued with her parenting story, and audience members were shocked as she revealed the passenger who complained had one more insult to throw at the stressed out first-time parents.
“We were so angry. So then we landed, and it was the woman right in front of us. And so we get up and she goes, ‘Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile,’” Kaley said, as the audience audibly gasped. “It was in that moment where I understood why women end up on Dateline. I could have strangled (her). I could’ve thrown that woman off the plane.”
The actress joked she wanted “justice for babies”, and referenced the viral videos of plane passengers throwing tantrums over crying kids during flights. “You see all these things on social media where people are really, truly getting mad at these babies. Like, justice for babies! This is ridiculous … leave them alone!” Kaley yelled, as the audience cheered.
The Emmy-winning actress met Ozark star Tom at the season four premiere of the Netflix show in April 2022, and the couple made their red carpet debut just a few months later. They welcomed daughter Matilda in March last year, after almost 12 months of dating.
