As we make our way through January, many Brits are focusing on health and fitness in a bid to shift those festive pounds, but it can be difficult to rustle up simple guilt-free recipes.
In fact, recent YouGov data on New Years' resolutions has revealed that 56 percent of Brits will prioritise doing more exercise or improving physical fitness, meanwhile 45 percent want to lose weight. When it comes to post-workout meals, chicken is a preferred choice because it is a source of protein, which is essential for muscle repair and immune function.
The meat is often paired with rice, but fitness expert Ellena Hoad has revealed her high-protein creamy chicken wrap recipe, which boasts just 395 calories per portion. The health guru, who goes by @ellena_fit online, kicked off the TikTok video with mouthwatering footage of the delicious dish. She then shared the simple steps, which can be found below.
Followers flocked to the comments section to share their reaction to the healthy hack, as one user gushed: "Just made this for my lunches this week so I had to taste it after I put everything together… IT IS SO GOOD! Thank you so much!” Another penned: "This looks AMAZING."
A third asked: "Does it matter if the wraps are white? Is wholemeal better?" To which Ellena responded: "No not at all." While a fourth informed: "YUM! And if you wanted a lower calorie option you could do without the tortillas, or over a bed of more spinach/lettuce!"
