Joe Jonas and his ex Sophie Turner appeared to fight through their "inner tension" and "bitterness" for the sake of their daughters as they were spotted in London ahead of the holidays, a body language expert claimed.
This week the exes, who went through a bitter divorce and custody battle this year, were seen putting their differences aside as they met up overseas with their kids ahead of Christmas. As Sophie recently publicly entered a new relationship with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson there could be an added layer of tension between them as the pair navigate the holidays together for the first time since their messy breakup.
Body language expert Judi James analyzed the snaps of Sophie and Joe reuniting with signs suggesting that the parents could be coming to the difficult meet-up from two "very different states." Judi told The Mirror: "They might be in the same place at the same time and they are clearly planning to brace themselves to act as responsible grown-ups and put any negative emotions or bitterness aside to create a united front for their children over Xmas."

Judi explained that this choice in outfit signals a sense of "confidence" and "mood to party." In the snaps, Joe was spotted with his legs splayed and arms hanging by his sides.

When the Jonas Brothers singer noticed the camera, Judi noticed that his expression shifted as he seemed to "soften" his look, which is something the rock star typically does that is popular with his fans. The body language expert further explained that despite his hard exterior, she noticed that there was a glimpse of hurt behind his eyes.

Unsmiling, his eyes look wide and more reflective, suggesting the air of confidence might be more about bravado."
As for his ex-wife Sophie, Judi noticed that she was all business as she seemed to be in "mum mode." The former Game of Thrones star appeared serious and focused as she was spotted pushing a double stroller with her two young daughters Willa and Delphine. Judi noticed that she was dressed down for the occasion wearing "non-celebrity trainers" and a fresh-faced look.
Similar to her ex-husband Joe, Sophie seemed to give a "faint smile" but kept her gaze down at her children. Judi noticed that there was also one photo that "suggests some pursing or puckering of the lips" which could also "hint at inner tension" towards the singer.
