A billionaire boss paid for around 1,200 employees and their families to go on a luxurious trip to Disneyland to celebrate the company's anniversary.
Ken Griffin, CEO of hedge fund Citadel LLC and founder of market maker Citadel Securities, treated staff from his Asia Pacific offices to mark the companies being in business 20 and 30 years respectively. Mr Griffin, who has an estimated net worth of $35 billion (£28 billion), paid for everyone's expenses for the trip, including travel, entertainment and childcare.
Staff and their families from his Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Tokyo and Gurugram offices were invited to enjoy the day out at Disneyland Tokyo - and its DisneySea resort. If that wasn't enough, the billionaire even provided his lucky staff members private Maroon 5 and Calvin Harris concerts during the break.

Speaking at the celebrations before introducing Maroon 5, Mr Griffin said: "Today, the range of talent we have brought together is simply astonishing. We've created not one, but two firms at the forefront of the industry. Together, we have imagined and built the future of finance."

This meant there was no waiting around for rides such as Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean.
A one-day pass for Tokyo Disneyland costs around 9,400 yen (£51). This means Mr Griffin would have forked out around £61,200 for the tickets, although it's likely the trip would have cost the billionaire much more.

Last year, he took 10,000 staff and their families to a three-day Walt Disney World trip, which included several pop concerts. Carly Rae Jepsen and Diplo were among the artists to perform at the event, as were one of Mr Griffin's favourite bands - Coldplay.
The three-day event, held last December, saw Mr Griffin pay for airfares from New York, Houston, Paris, Zurich and other cities. Hotels, park tickets and meals were also paid for, allowing staff and their families to enjoy a luxurious fun-filled trip for nothing.
