A livid motorcyclist has found themselves at the centre of a parking feud after they left a note on a woman's car demanding she move her vehicle - as their plan backfired.

The beginnings of the bizarre row were posted online by the owner of the car, who claimed she was parked in a designated parking space assigned to her when she moved into her flat. She pays $150 (£120) per month for the parking space and was shocked to find the note pinned to her car which demanded she find somewhere else to park - as the motorcyclist seemingly thought the space belonged to them instead.

A picture of the note was shared to Reddit, and it read: "FYI, these spots cost you $150 a month, and this is my motorcycle. I hate to be a b***h, but ..."

The note then finished, giving the driver no other context. She added in a comment alongside the picture: "Woke up to a lovely note on my car this morning - I'm parked in my assigned (paid for) parking spot. 'but….' BUT WHAT? There was nothing on the back. I taped a copy of my parking permit to her note and taped it to her bike (that she could have easily moved, she wasn't blocked in)."

The woman also said she had "already told" management at her apartment building about the note, as she didn't want the parking feud to escalate, especially when she was parked in her assigned space. She then accused the motorcyclist of being "angry" and "assuming the worst" about her car.

In an update to her post in the comments, the driver said the motorcyclist was parked "in the aisle between the rows of parking spots" and was concerned that her car and those next to her would get damaged if the motorcycle fell over. She also said she reported these concerns to the building's management in retaliation to the letter - making the passive-aggressive move seriously backfire for the motorcyclist.

The woman wrote: "She ended up screwing herself. Here's how: Leasing had a phone conversation and formal in-office meeting with the motorcycle lady, obviously I'm not privy to those details. One commenter pointed out that since her motorcycle is parked illegally, if it falls over it would damage the parked cars. I brought this up, and the fact that I really didn’t want to park near her anymore, so they moved my spot. They also disclosed that they told her to park in the designated motorcycle area, but they can't guarantee that she will."

To make matters worse for the motorcyclist, it was disclosed that bikes don't actually pay to use the parking currently, but after her outburst, the management are now looking at revising those rules. The woman added: "So leasing is now revisiting that topic and will most likely begin charging motorcycles the $150 (£120) like they do for cars. She pretty much screwed over all the other people who park their bikes for free. Oops."
