Sainsbury's has issued a huge update that affects millions of shoppers with a Nectar loyalty card.

The supermarket has confirmed customers can now find Your Nectar Prices on the Sainsbury’s website. Your Nectar Prices are personalised discounts based on items you normally buy.

Until now, Your Nectar Prices have only been available when shopping in Sainsbury’s stores using SmartShop. Shoppers will see up to ten personalised prices each week, with savings of up to 30% on each product. Your Nectar Prices are refreshed for customers every Friday, are valid for seven days and can be used more than once.

If you're shopping online, you'll need to add your Nectar account to your Sainsbury’s online account to view Your Nectar Prices. Once Nectar is added, customers will be able to view their personalised discounts offers on the Nectar page of the website and groceries app. When shoppers add the products on offer to their basket, the lower price will be automatically applied at the checkout.

Alex Naisby, Director of Loyalty & CRM at Nectar said: “Offering great value to customers is important to Sainsbury’s and Your Nectar Prices aims to help where it really matters, by offering savings on products people love and regularly buy.

“Sainsbury’s customers have already saved millions of pounds by taking advantage of Your Nectar Prices in store via SmartShop and so we’re pleased to now offer it to a wider pool of shoppers. We want as many customers as possible to reap the benefits of our personalised prices.”

Sainsbury’s shoppers get one Nectar point for every £1 spent in stores and online, or for every litre of fuel purchased. You also get points when you shop with other retailers. Nectar works with around 300 brand partners - including Argos, eBay, Sky and VUE cinemas.

Each point is worth 0.5p to spend in Sainsbury's stores - so 100 points are therefore 50p. Or you can spend them at other partner stores. You don't have to spend your Nectar points at Sainsbury's.

You can also convert your Nectar points into Avios to spend on British Airways flights, with 400 Nectar points currently worth 250 Avios. We recently spoke to Sainsbury's insiders to get their top tips on how to get the most of your points.
