As Halloween fast approaches, people will be thinking about their costumes and what spooky character they're going to be dressing up as. But one person is taking it to another level by dressing up as a clown - and he's got an important message for the nation.
The Skelmorlie Killer Clown, as he's been dubbed by locals, wanders the streets of the town in North Ayrshire in Scotland, dressed as Pennywise the Dancing Clown from Stephen King's IT - yikes. In videos shared to their Facebook page 'Cole Deimos', they insist that they're not a "killer" clown, and they just want to "play in this so-called sleepy town" - much like the clown they're dressed as. But they have said they should be "feared."
The clown looks just like Pennywise (Cole Deimos/Facebook)But the clown has also said: "If you come to visit then you'll float too", saying that they don't "care" that the police have been informed about them, and they keep "daring" people to catch them. Now, the clown has a "message and game for the nation" as he's "created a game for the country to play in".
A new video from the clown lists a number of Scottish landmarks, and the Skelmorlie Clown is urging people to visit the spots and snap a pic of their 'scariest faces' with the hashtag #Skelmorlieclown. Well, that's certainly one way to spend Halloween.
Some of the landmarks include Loch Ness, Edinburgh Castle, and the Largs Pencil Monument. The clown also encouraged viewers to "climb Ben Nevis right to the top." The frightening rhyme in its entirety said: "I have a message addressed to the nation. I've created a game for the country to play in.

"Robert Burns cottage, where the legend was from. The Bannockburn monument, where our king won. In the Loch Ness, home to our Nessie. In Falkirk the horses that go by the Kelpies. In Glasgow the man with the cone on his head. At Edinburgh Castle where kings and queens met. In Largs at the Pencil, where Vikings fought. And climb Ben Nevis right to the top.

Your game is quite simple, at each of these places, go take a picture with your scariest faces. Post it online so your pic can be found and use the hashtag #Skelmorlieclown."
