Brits have flocked to buy body armour since the crisis began.

Vestguard, the UK’s largest bullet-proof clothing supplier, has seen sales more treble in the last seven days. The rush comes amid a terrifying rise in anti-semitic incidents recorded by police.

Tonight boss Ross King said: “We’ve noticed a huge difference in sales – we’re getting between 20 to 30 calls an hour from the British public requesting body armour. People are purchasing within the UK and interest has gone through the roof.”

Protection gear available from the Essex-based firm includes bullet and blade-proof vests, helmets and defence spray. Standard body protectors worn by security guards start at £403 on the site.

You’ll pay £393 for under-armour popular with government officials. A police blast-proof high-vis overcoat comes in at £512. And a military-grade jacket will set you back £513.
