Sony has confirmed that PS5 games are being added to PS Plus cloud streaming later this month, with the change rolling out to Japan, Europe, and North America.

PS Plus Premium subscribers have been able to stream PS4 and PS3 titles as a part of the subscription since the revamped version of PlayStation's subscription service launched back in 2022, however, PS5 games and game trials included in the Premium subscription were unavailable to stream. Now, over a year later, PS5 games are finally going to be streamable as part of the service starting this month.

Sony announced this move on the PlayStation Blog alongside the announcement of the PS Plus October 2023 Extra and Premium games. Unfortunately, this is only available for subscribers with a PS5 at the moment, so PS4 owners can't get a taste of PS5 titles. Although Sony seems to imply this may come to other platforms later down the line in the blog post, saying "PS5 cloud streaming is exclusively available on the PS5 console at launch".

The PS5 streaming will offer some of the defining features of the PS5, including 3D audio and 4K streaming (assuming your connection can handle it). You'll be able to stream games from the PS Plus Game Catalogue, Game Trials, and some PS5 titles unavailable on PS Plus if you own them.
