Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have made a vow in joint statement after "successful mediation" and are ready to put their long-winded custody battle behind them.

The former couple released a joint statement about their new co-parenting dynamic hours after reaching a temporary custody agreement for their two daughters three-year-old Willa and one-year-old Delphine. The pair told Page Six Tuesday evening: “After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents.”

According to court documents, the former couple agreed that Sophie would be able to take their girls back to the UK from October 9th October 21st to visit her hometown and family. After this period of time the Game of Thrones star then has to bring their children back to their father Joe who will then take care of them until November 2.

After this, the pair will continue to swap custody of their children until January 7 of next year which means the pair will have their own holidays to spend with the kids with Joe having Thanksgiving with their daughters and Sophie getting Christmas with them. After the good news that the actress will be getting more time with her little ones she was seen in high spirits as she played with her daughter in a local park in New York City.

This update comes after a long messy custody battle between the pair following Joe's decision to file for divorce from Sophie after four years of marriage. The Jonas Brothers singer filed paperwork in September after claiming his marriage with the Dark Phoenix star was "irretrievably broken".

After their split Sophie requested Joe return their kids back to London, as that was reportedly the couple's original plan. Sophie then asked a New York court to order their children back to her physical custody after claiming Joe was refusing to return the children's passports and had them on an "unauthorised" holiday. But now, it seems the parents have been able to work out their differences and come to an amicable decision on how they can split time with their daughters together.
