Samantha Markle has hit out at her sister, Meghan, who since marrying Prince Harry has had no relationship with their ill father, Thomas Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex has in recent years criticised her siblings and dad for speaking to the media claiming that she hadn't seen them in over two decades. However, her sister Samantha has continually refuted these claims and has shared pictures taken with Meghan and conversations that happened while she was filming Suits.
But since Thomas was seen posing for paparazzi pictures just days before she and Harry married at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, Meghan has had no relationship with him. Over the years, Thomas' health has rapidly deteriorated and he was hospitalised just last year after suffering from a stroke. And as Meghan continues to be estranged from her family for going to the press, her father and half siblings have continued to undertake interviews with the media.
Speaking on a podcast, Samantha, 58, commented: "For her not to make it right in my opinion is so unbelievably, it's like something Stephen King would write, it is evil. It is fundamentally evil – there is no other way to slice this apple. You know what? The Goddamn Mirror is going to crack one of these and I feel sorry for you when it does."
She went on to say on Shaun Attwood's Official YouTube podcast: "When you wake up, if ever, it's going to be painful. It's called karma." Earlier this year, Thomas Senior opened up and revealed he wouldn't want to "be buried" by his daughter who, during her Netflix series, said she had "lost" her father. Elsewhere, Harry wrote in his memoir that his wife was "mourning the loss of her father". Speaking to 7News Spotlight, Thomas said: "She killed me and then mourned me. I refuse to be buried by her."
Oprah Winfrey snubs Harry and Meghan as expert claims 'the tide has turned'He went on to claim that despite his health continuing to decline, Meghan has not made any contact with him. Thomas added: "I wish that we could sit down and talk. If she doesn't turn up for a stroke, if that doesn’t move her, what would?" The former lighting director claimed that Meghan has not made any contact since she sent him a "hateful and so cruel" letter four years prior to his stroke. However, Harry disputed the allegations that the letter was sent with hatred, writing in his autobiography: "There is nothing in that letter to be ashamed about."
While Thomas has shared excerpts of the letter with the press, which Meghan later won a lawsuit over, he stated there are some parts of it he wouldn't dare share, telling the media: "There are other things in that letter that are so hateful and so cruel, that I wouldn’t put it out. And that's more protecting her than myself."
