SIR MICHAEL STOUTE is adept at improving fillies as four-year-olds and LOVE YOU GRANDPA (4.35) is another who can make the grade.
The daughter of Frankel has not seen much racecourse action – she has run just three times since making her debut at Newmarket in September 2021, when she finished a quiet fourth of nine in a maiden fillies’ stakes.
She improved on that run when running on well behind two other Frankel fillies at Salisbury in May last year, and then finished a promising second at Doncaster a month later over a mile and a quarter.
She wasn’t seen again until making her handicap debut at Windsor in June over an extended 1m 3f, where she chased home The Whipmaster, who had the benefit of a previous run.
My selection arrives at Leicester fresh after 92 days off the track, and back over a trip that suits, she can score her first win in the British EBF Fillies' Handicap.
