Meghan Markle will not get any Royal treatment after bringing in a Hollywood agent to bolster her career Stateside.

Markle has signed to powerhouse Hollywood player Ari Emmanuel at the William Morris Endeavour agency to promote her business and philanthropic efforts. But one time friend and US celebrity Howie Mandel says Markle won't get preferential treatment and will only be guaranteed just one thing from the partnership - handing over large sums of commission.

Mandel says that like all other clients signed to WME, Markle will have to pay 10 percent of all deals to the agent. It is standard practice for major Hollywood talent agencies to charge charities and non profits like Archewell fees for their work.

America's Got Talent's Mandel boasted that he was the “one” who first made young wannabe actress Markle 'famous' as a card girl for his hit game show series Deal Or No Deal in 2006.

But the AGT judge has no idea how Ari's agency WME will aid the former Suits actress’ career. But the comic learned as a client of the agency himself, that they will always earn 10 per cent commission. And even Markle, despite her Royal links ,will be expected to pay those fees.

Mandel was quizzed about Markle’s business dealings with WME backstage on the red carpet America’s Got Talent. He said: "I don't know specifically what WME brings to the table for somebody like Meghan. But I will tell you that they take 10% off the table for all of us.'

When asked if that happens even for royal family members like Markle, he doubled down: "I don't care ..ten per cent is ten per cent."

In April it was confirmed that Markle signed up with WME that has represented major stars including Dwayne Johnson, Adele, and tennis player Serena Williams. The Duchess of Sussex's team will include Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, as well as agents Brad Slater and Jill Smoller.

WME will also represent Archewell, Prince Harry and Meghan's content creation label. Over the past few weeks WME' team and Markle's branding team have been working on rebuilding her brand as an influencer and lifestyle expert.

She previously had a blog The Tig which covered life and health tips, but closed it after wedding Harry. Brand experts have stated that Emmanuel is the “best in the business" given his extensive links, business acumen and experience.

One high powered US PR executive noted: "Ari doesn't give a f*** who is standing in front of him, he calls it as he sees it and knows how to make and rescue celebrities' careers.

“Meghan working with him is a massive step in getting back to Hollywood and tapping into his resources. And of course he is running a business. This expertise comes at a price no matter whether you are Royalty or an Oscar winner.

"And to be clear non profits too have agencies like WME on their outgoings fees, because they often have the ability and know how to put big deals together.

“That is common practice in the US. Many star's foundations pay agents and PR companies to help promote their philanthropic work. Meghan does not get a free pass just because she was once a Royal family member and has the title Duchess."

America's Got Talent airs on Tuesday and Wednesdays on NBC at 8pm local time zones.
