Manchester United head into the first international break of the season having endured a somewhat underwhelming start to the new campaign.

Erik ten Hag’s side languish in 11th having won two out of their opening four matches. The Red Devils fell to defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last time out - the Gunners scoring twice in stoppage time.

Whilst the Old Trafford corridors are expected to be empty over the next few weeks, there is still plenty going on at the club from a United perspective. Take a look at all of the headlines from the red half of Manchester over the past 24 hours:

Ten Hag reacts to Sancho outburst

Man United boss Ten Hag is said to be ‘bitterly disappointed’ by Jadon Sancho’s recent outburst on social media. The former Borussia Dortmund winger took to social media in the immediate aftermath of comments made by the Dutchman following the defeat to Arsenal.

He told supporters to "not believe everything they read" and that he was a "scapegoat" in response to Ten Hag criticising his performances in training. Ten Hag and his Red Devils staff were taken aback by his response, as first reported by The Telegraph.

Greenwood trains after transfer

Mason Greenwood has trained with Spanish side Getafe for the first time following his deadline day move. The 21-year-old striker penned a season-long loan deal with the Spanish side on transfer deadline day.

He hasn't played professional football since his arrest in January 2022. He was spotted in a series of videos and photos taking part in a number of drills during an open training session.

Speaking in a video shared on Getafe’s social media channels, he said: “Hi Getafe fans, it's Mason here. I'm so happy to be here and I can't wait to get started."

Besiktas have sealed the signing of Manchester United defender Eric Bailly as he brings to an end a rocky spell at Old Trafford.

The Ivorian defender has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Turkish giants, with their transfer window still open until Friday September 15. Bailly’s chances of regular football with United this season always looked remote with a host of players ahead of him in the pecking order.
