Kim Kardashian showcased her toned figure in a photo of herself in a gym just days after some fans expressed concern over her appearance.
The reality TV star, 42, took to Instagram last week to share photos that showed her modelling a pair of ripped jeans. She told her followers that they were a Mother's Day gift and that they had been personalised by her four children.
She accompanied the jeans with a crop top. Kim also shared photos of the jeans that showed the artwork on them, with Kim having teased in the caption: "I will cherish these forever".
The post amassed more than 2million likes and fans shared their thoughts in the comments. Although she was met with compliments, it also sparked concern from some of them who speculated that Kim appeared "too skinny" in the selfie.
One person wrote: "The waist ... not realistic for any average female." Another said: "I think she's too skinny." Someone expressed agreement, with them having responded to the post: "Too skinny Kim. What you're doing is dangerous."
Kim Kardashian weighs in on sister feud after Kourtney's sad 'outsider' claimsA fourth person said: "This is def the skinniest she's ever been/looked. Getting to that unhealthy, people questioning her health look." Whilst another follower reacted in the comments section recently: "So skinny it's not cute."
Sharing their thoughts, someone else wrote: "How do you have a tinier and tinier waist in every post? You're going to disappear soon. How do you manage to never eat? Serious question tho bc I know a lot of people are wondering."
Some people speculated that the photo may have been edited, whilst others took the opportunity to defend the reality TV star amid the concern. One person wrote in the comments section: "She looks good ... as always IMO."
Addressing some of the reaction, another person said: "This is what my waist looks like. It's not cute to shame other women's bodies." Another follower wrote in their response to the discussion: "Some of us just have a small waist."
Some fans suggested she has a slim physique because she exercises frequently and has a 'healthy' lifestyle. Whilst someone else warned: "Talking about how skinny someone is in a derogatory way is as bad as fat shaming."
Kim - whose apparent weight loss has attracted attention recently, including when she attended the Met Gala last year - later reassured concerned fans when she showcased her 'healthy gym-honed frame' in a more recent selfie.
Kim shared a photo of herself in the gym alongside personal trainer Senada Greca on Thursday to mark the latter's birthday on her Instagram Story. She showcased her figure and reminded fans that she works out.
She's posted about exercising on several occasions in the past, including having shared some of her workout routine in April. More recently, she told fans that she had a few weeks "out of the gym" after breaking her shoulder and tearing a tendon, and announced her return last month.
