Jorge Masvidal still confident he would beat Jake Paul despite Nate Diaz victory

Jorge Masvidal has once again claimed that he would beat Jake Paul if the pair were to meet after watching him defeat Nate Diaz earlier this month.

The social media sensation has become one of boxing's biggest names, and returned to winning ways by dropping Masvidal's old BMF title rival Diaz on his way to a ten-round decision win. There were previously talks of the UFC legend making the move to the ring to face Paul, but that appeared to have thawed when the pair met up recently in Miami for a video shoot.

Masvidal appeared on Paul's show BS With Jake Paul to discuss their previous fallout and filmed a skit in which he "pulled up on" the 7-1 boxer. But now he has once again thrown shade at his rival, claiming that if he boxed Diaz first, then perhaps there would be time for the bout to become competitive.

"I feel like these guys ain't boxers, man," Masvidal told EPSN MMA today. "And I feel like they're not me. From a businessman point of view these guys are not what would stop me from competing, with these guys I would have a very good night and I'm hearing those numbers that got thrown around and made.

"I'm like 'man, I'll throw my hat, my name in that lottery pool that mish mash'. I don't know what's going on with this influencer, they call it boxing, but these guys ain't boxing. I get it if you don't have the skillset and you started late in life I get that but at least you've got to have the will."

And Masivdal doesn't feel that he saw a great deal of boxing skill from either Paul or Diaz over the ten rounds they fought in Dallas. It was the UFC star's boxing debut, while Paul had been competing as a professional for three years, previously going the distance and losing a split decision to Tommy Fury.

"You've got to be mean, you've got to come to fight and you've got to be beating people up," he continued. "I feel like in that last fight I didn't see either of those things, skill or will so if you're talking about me fighting them dudes? Line them up on the same day, give me Nate then give me Jake and maybe it might be competitive."
