The Body Coach Joe Wicks has shared a touching tribute to one of his oldest workout fans, as they celebrate a milestone birthday.
The fitness guru, who won millions of fans with his pandemic workouts, shared the sweet tribute highlighting a fan who continues to complete his workouts - even at 100 years old.
Writing on Twitter, Joe said: "Well its official. It’s never too late to get moving is it. Mary is 100 years old today and still going strong. She did the workouts with us during lockdown and she still keeps up her fitness with my senior workouts on YouTube every week." Accompanying the tweet was a video of Mary as she worked out in front of her TV following Joe's workouts.
Fans have been quick to praise and celebrate Mary's efforts. One fan replied: "How wonderful. Happy 100th Birthday Mary." Another added: "This is amazing…. Way to go Mary". A third shared: "Bravo Mary, you're some woman for your age. Keep up the good work". A fourth wrote: "Yay go Mary age is just a number." "I'd love to be like dear Mary when I'm older; what a Star!" said another.
This isn't the first time Joe has celebrated his workout fans or shared their efforts online. Earlier this year he left fans in disbelief when he shared a snap of his own mum and revealed her real age after her age-defying looks shined through in a rare photo in her famous son.
Joe Wicks says 'I'm no longer a sex symbol' after losing his rock hard six packThe snap came with a gushing post from Joe to his mum Raquela as he wrote: "My mum turns 58 years old this year. This morning I took her to Golds Gym in Venice for a workout. This is inspiring to me. My Mum battled with her mental health and had severe eating disorders while I was growing up so to see a strong and healthy mum is wonderful. Fitness and strength in anyone at any age is something to aspire to and hopefully inspires us all. Proud of you mum. You banged out Nikki at 17 and me at 19 years old. I love that you had us so young and you are here today with me doing this and staying strong. You’re amazing and life is so good because you are here with me."
Joe's success as a fitness and workout guru is now estimated to be now worth a whopping £15 million. He recently reflected on the success of his career as he said: "I'm eternally grateful for every single person who followed me and bought one of them books for themselves or family member. That changed my life, I never in a million years predicted we'd sell anywhere near that many books.
"They said if we sell 70,000 books in the first year we've had a success, and we sold like one million books. And it allowed me to do the one thing I think most boys dream of doing when they earn a bit of dough - buy your mum a house."
