Former Manchester United midfielder Fred seems to have confirmed the Red Devils next bit of business this summer, with the arrrival of Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir expected to be announced in the coming days.
The 25-year-old has already completed his United medical in anticipation of a move to Old Trafford. The hold-up in the delay is believed to have been because the Red Devils are awaiting official confirmation of Dean Henderson's exit to Crystal Palace.
Following David de Gea's exit earlier on this summer, Henderson may have been hoping to stake his claim as the club's number one. Instead, his 12-year stay at the club appears to be coming to a permanent end as Palace have reached an agreement with the Red Devils to bring the shot-stopper to Selhurst Park before Friday's deadline.
With that £15million move now all but complete, United fans can expect Bayindir to be unveiled very soon, especially as the majority of the paperwork for his switch has already been completed while the last details of Henderson's switch were being finalised.
Bayindir himself actually provided fans with the first hint that he was Old Trafford-bound. Having been taken out of the Fenerbahce starting line-up for the 5-1 win over FC Twente Europa Conference League, the 25-year-old waved goodbye to supporters at the end of the game.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dashIf that wasn't enough, team-mate and former Red Devil Fred has now ramped up the speculation after wishing the goalkeeper good luck at the Brazilian's old stomping ground.
Pressed for comment on Bayindir's potential departure, Fred told Turkish media: "I wished Altay good luck when he left. He’s going to a great team.

"I gave him some suggestions about places where he could live and I told him it rains a lot! I think Altay is going to be very happy at Manchester United."
Bayindir is unlikely to be the last addition to United's squad this summer. While there are now just four days left for boss Erik ten Hag to conduct his business, it seems as if the Premier League giants are confident they can still get a number of deals over the line.
It would appear that a new left-back is now the priority in light of Luke Shaw's muscle injury. Marc Cucurella, Sergio Reguilon and Marcos Alonso have all been linked, while a new central midfielder is also not off the cards.
