Geordie Shore's Abbie Holborn has bravely showcased her 'real hair' after admitting that the stress of online trolls led to her losing her hair three years ago.

Abbie Holborn, who rose to fame on the MTV show in 2017, has been the target of relentless trolling, with insults such as "fish eyes" causing significant distress and leading to her hair loss but, the reality star is now on a mission to regain her once lush locks.

The 26-year-old has recently shared new photos of her hair on Instagram, providing fans with an update on her journey towards recovery.

In the revealing snaps, Abbie, sans her usual weave, announced plans to address her bald patches through micro-pigmentation at a specialist clinic. She confessed to having relied on extensions for "years" to conceal her hair loss but is now ready to seek treatment for the underlying issue.

In a heartfelt post, Abbie wrote: "My poor hair. After years of covering up and overfilling my head with extensions I'm so excited to get this sorted finally tomorrow and start the process with @ombre_smp_clinic."

The Geordie Shore starlet has been advised that she will need four treatments and regular fortnightly visits to the clinic to achieve the best results from her transformation. She added: "It's basically for people, men can get it, I've not really seen that many women get it. But obviously women can get it too. It's for people that kind of have alopecia, either traction alopecia, going bald or just have hair loss in general. Bald patches... It's kind of like a form of tattoo."

Abbie shared her personal struggle with baldness back in 2020. Speaking to The Sun, she revealed: "I started to get thinner, and not just in weight. I noticed my hair was coming out in clumps too. Then one night, I was looking in the mirror and gasped. I had huge bald patches all over my head. I knew it wasn't from hair extensions because I hadn't been wearing them at that time it must be a form of the condition Alopecia that affected Gail Porter."
