Molly-Mae Hague has reportedly invested in extra security to protect her £600,000 engagement ring, less than two years after a break-in occurred at her former Manchester home.
The Love Island star's fiancé Tommy Fury proposed with a stunning six-carat rock last month, marking a major milestone in the reality TV show couple's relationship. However, it's now been reported that Molly has become more cautious about flaunting her affluence in light of a number of scary incidents.
It's understood that the 24-year-old has splashed out on more security to protect her home and is also determined to keep her baby daughter Bambi, whom she welcomed in January, out of harm's way.
According an inside source, Molly has "always had security" but has "upped it" following the birth of her first child. She has also reportedly been spooked by Kim Kardashian's 2016 robbery, which saw the American reality TV star held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel as thieves stole up to $10 million worth of jewellery. Molly was a victim to burglary herself in 2021, when an "experienced gang" broke into the Manchester apartment she shared with Tommy Fury and stole up to £800,000 worth of goods.
"Tommy and I were robbed a couple of weeks ago and it’s without a doubt the worst thing that’s ever happened to me," the mum-of-one later said on her YouTube channel. "Awful, is what I’d say, horrendous, we’ve been dealing with a lot."
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says reportShe also revealed that she had decided against doing an apartment tour for her fans in light of the robbery, telling viewers, "I need to be more careful now about the things I’m sharing, the things I’m talking about." Molly also called the perpetrators 'evil', adding, "Karma will come to the people who did it."
“Molly has been really aware of flashing too much wealth following their 2021 break in," a source added.
Since appearing on Love Island in 2019, Molly Mae has reportedly built a net worth of up to £6 million. She famously landed a six-figure deal when she became the creative director of Pretty Little Thing, as well as lucrative sponsership deals with Starbucks and various beauty brands. She moved into a £4 million, six-bedroom mansion in Cheshire last year with boxer boyfriend Tommy, from where she produces most of her online content while raising baby Bambi.
