Manchester United may've kicked off their Premier League campaign against Wolves on Monday but Erik ten Hag and co are still focused on a strong end to the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have already brought in Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund for just shy of £200million, and are targeting more signings before deadline day on September 1. With Harry Maguire edging closer to joining West Ham for £30m, Ten Hag is set to have a vacant slot among his centre-back options which Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard could fill.
United have already made advances, including a bid which Bayern promptly rejected. There's also room in midfield, with Fred having completed his £12.9m move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, while Donny van de Beek is in talks to join Real Socidedad on loan.
Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
Bayern may've turned down United's opening bid for Pavard, but the France international already has a verbal agreement to join the Red Devils. That's according to Sky Germany, who state Pavard is keen on the move after Ten Hag identified him as an ideal replacement for the likely outgoing Maguire.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dashThe 27-year-old can play as both a right-back and centre-back which would greatly aid Ten Hag's selection choices. Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, 23, is among the alternatives to compatriot Pavard should United be unable to complete the deal, with German giants Bayern holding out for €30million (£25.8m) despite the French defender having entered the final year of his contract.

United have reportedly approached Everton with an interest in signing highly-rated midfielder Amadou Onana. The Guardian claim that Ten Hag's search for a new midfielder has led him to the 21-year-old Belgium international, who joined Everton from French side Lille for £33m last summer.
The Toffees are reluctant to lose Onana and insist they aren't under financial pressure to sell him. However, it's added that Everton chiefs would consider a £50m bid.
West Ham have already made an offer for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who's understood to be Ten Hag's preferred midfield signing. Reports in Italy, via Sport Witness, claim that although the Irons haven't met Fiorentina's €30m asking price with their opening bid, their offer is 'interesting'.
That could force United's hand, having not yet made a formal bid, despite their interest. Amrabat, 26, previously had his heart set on a move to LaLiga with either Barcelona or Atletico Madrid, but now he's set to only have credible options in the Premier League and may end up as a West Ham player next month.
