Conor McGregor has declared that he will be coaching Dillon Danis his boxing match with Logan Paul - but fears the YouTube star may not show up.
The UFC legend has taken to training fighters this year, particularly in his role as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter, and will bring his skills to the boxing world as teammate Danis makes his debut in the ring. The New Yorker will face controversial social media star Paul on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester, although fans fear he will pull out of the bout after multiple fight cancellations.
But McGregor feels that after a series of tweets from Danis that appear to have rattled Paul, there is a chance of a pullout on the other end. The Irishman is also preparing for his own return to action after two years out, and was spotted in New York training with Danis earlier this summer.
"Dillon will win for sure," McGregor told the Matchroom Boxing YouTube channel today. "They're already back-tracking right now, they awoke an animal. I know Dillon years, I've trained him many times, I've helped him and I'm guiding him, I'm going to train him for this and I'm going to guarantee a win.
"I hope the lad shows up, they're trying to put a bill on us if we don't show up but we're going to come at him with a bill if he don't show up. For sure I'm getting into camp myself after this so when that's organised I'm going to bring Dillon in and make sure and just monitor it. I was training with him while I was in New York.

"I was in New York for about a month or so, I was training with him, he's in a great space mentally. He built himself up, he was in a bad spot but he's built himself back up and now he's in a great spot, so it's great to see and I back him all the way. I've trained with him, I know he's got this."
McGregor has inserted himself into the YouTube boxing space this evening by calling out the headliner of October 14's show KSI for a bare-knuckle fight. He took to the microphone after watching Anthony Joshua defeat Robert Helenius in the O2 Arena and declared that the pair should compete in a new discipline.
"Big congrats to AJ, big congrats to Eddie, big congrats Forged Irish Stout," McGregor said in an interview after the bout. "And I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn't box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here I'll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want!"
