Lizzo got very emotional in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, and it's now viewed in a new light after three of her former dancers filed a lawsuit against her.
In the interview, filmed days before the lawsuit became public, the 35-year-old singer admitted that she wasn't feeling 100 percent. "Even today, I was having a rough day," she said, "I was sad and stuff earlier today."
"For some odd reason, even if I'm having a bad day or if I'm going through something, people still get good from it," she said to interviewer Tom Steinfort. At the time of the interview, Tom and 60 Minutes Australia were not aware of the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also claimed that Lizzo bullied them for their weight.
Lizzo released a statement last week on her Instagram, saying the allegations are "unbelievable" and "outrageous". "These last few days have been gut-wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing," she added.

"Sometimes I have to make hard decisions but it's never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren't valued as an important part of the team," Lizzo defended herself in the statement. However, Ron Zambrano, the lawyer representing the ex-dancers, shared a statement from them that showed they weren't impressed with her response.

In her statement, Lizzo said she never wanted to make anyone feel uncomfortable (zz/John Nacion/STAR MAX/IPx)"Lizzo has failed her own brand and has let down her fans," the statement read, "While Lizzo notes it was never her intention 'to make anyone feel uncomfortable,' that is exactly what she did to the point of demoralising her dancers and flagrantly violating the law." The dancers are seeking compensation in the form of unpaid wages, emotional distress, medical expenses, and more.
Many of the allegations stem from an incident at a nightclub in Amsterdam. The lawsuit accuses Lizzo of "inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers." Lizzo hired lawyer Marty Singer for the suit, who has recently worked on cases for Bill Cosby, Johnny Depp, and Jonah Hill.
