Jamie Foxx announced that he's expanding his impact in the liquor industry. His company, Brown Sugar Bourbon, has a new product for fans to try out. He announced the product on Instagram. Jamie's official statement excitedly proclaimed: "Brand new BSB Whiskey bottle coming soon!!"
The new product comes after Jamie's recent health scare in April. The "medical complication", as his daughter called it, has been shrouded in mystery as details about what happened are a bit uncertain. Those close to him who commented on his status kept updates purposefully vague. When Jamie finally was able to break his silence, he excluded the official diagnosis, but admitted he was connected to tubes in the hospital.
In his emotional Instagram video, he said: "I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through and I know a lot of people were waiting or wanted to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that... I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through."
Jamie became an owner of the liquor company in 2021, but this is the first product back since his health scare. The company itself was established in 2016, but when Jamie took over, he brought a fresh outlook and a sort of relaunch occurred. In a release, Jamie explained that taking over the brand was a part of living life on his own terms.
He said: "I’ve always lived by the rule that life is short, and you need to go out and do what you want to do. Owning a brand that brings sweet life to the party has always been a goal and with BSB we’re making it happen. Before the quarantine, I watched bottles of BSB disappear at all my celebrations and knew this was a brand I wanted to bring into the spotlight. Anyone who tries BSB is going to love it just like I do."
Cameron Diaz's big movie comeback in crisis as Hollywood co-star 'sacks staff'More details on what this new bottle will be like haven't come out yet. However, if it's anything like the existing line, fans can expect a "smooth and easy" taste, as described on the BSB 103 product page.
