Tom Aspinall believes he only has to land on UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones to knock him out.

Aspinall called out Jones following his 73-second knockout win against Marcin Tybura at UFC London this past weekend. The Brit plans to beat the winner of Ciryl Gane and Serghei Spivac's upcoming fight to set up a title clash with Jones, who is scheduled to defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic in November.

Jones has hinted at retirement after his fight with Miocic but Aspinall is desperate for the UFC legend to stick around. 'Bones' won the belt in his heavyweight debut by tapping out Gane in March and Aspinall has explained why he is different to any of the champion's previous opponents.

"I think I have to touch you once, like look what happened," Aspinall said on The MMA Hour. "I know Tybura and Jon Jones are two completely different people, I’m very well aware of that but he’s a human being. I only have to hit one time at a speed that he doesn’t see, and I’m really capable of doing that. It’s not even a question, I can knock him out.”

“He's fought a lot of quicker guys before, nobody quicker than me. Quicker than most heavyweights being at light-heavyweight, but he’s never fought someone quicker than a light-heavyweight who’s bigger than him before. Who, is super confident, with big fight IQ, not intimated, who’s young and fresh and doesn’t have a lot of miles on the clock. That’s what I think I bring to the table against Jon.”

Jones responded to Aspinall's title fight demand over the weekend by tweeting: "Sounds good lol". Gane also sent a warning to Aspinall as he said: "Great performance Tom, careful what you wish for. See you in Paris." Aspinall plans to be cageside for Gane's fight against Spivac and wants to face-off with the winner in the cage.

Aspinall jokingly took a moral victory from Jones replying to him after previously stating the champion likely doesn't know who he is. The trash talk between the pair is beginning to build up as Aspinall said: "I’m just putting it out there, Jon Jones is a patronising guy. I think he patronised me, how dare he patronise me! How dare he! Oh, whatever, that’s my dream fight so I’ll do whatever I can to get that."
