Manchester United have managed to establish themselves in a race for the Premier League title with victory over Leicester City.
The Red Devils now sit third in the table and just five points behind current leaders Arsenal albeit having played a game more than the Gunners. They now face a key week in their season with a Europa League showdown with Barcelona to come in midweek, whilst Erik ten Hag is also preparing his side for the Carabao Cup against Newcastle
Meanwhile, there is also plenty of work going on off the pitch with a number of parties attempting to complete a takeover at Old Trafford. With that being said, here are the latest headlines coming out of the club over the last 24 hours.
Manchester United owners the Glazer family could yet retain a stake in the club if Elliott Investment Management are chosen as the new investors, it has been claimed.
According to ESPN, Elliott - who are keen to supply financing rather than completing a full takeover themselves - could offer the Glazers a chance to stay. This is despite the family, who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, remaining unpopular with sections of United's support.

Garth Crooks has called for referee Stuart Attwell to lose his job after failing to send off Marcel Sabitzer in the weekend’s win over Leicester. The on-loan Bayern Munich star crunched into Wout Faes but escaped any further punishment.
He said: "Premier League referee Stuart Attwell should be relieved of his duties. He allowed Manchester United's Marcel Sabitzer to remain on the pitch after the worst tackle I have seen in years and without so much as a caution.
"What made matters worse, Attwell then booked Leicester City's Nampalys Mendy, having made not one, but two, perfectly legitimate tackles.”

Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has suggested that Marcus Rashford could become the first Red Devil to break the 30-goal mark in a decade amid his stunning season.
The striker is now on 24 goals for the campaign following his brace against Leicester. Speaking after the game, former Red Devil Owen said: "He [Rashford] should be targeting 30 goals. Six [more] goals in the form he’s in.
“We’re only just past halfway, there’s still a lot of big games, and Manchester United are still in virtually every competition as well.”
