David Beckham has been given the go-ahead to create more Good Life vibes at his Cotswolds home.
The footie icon and wife Victoria want to grow their own veg, like Tom and Barbara in the 1970s TV comedy.
And now, their planning application “to create a kitchen garden with raised beds, together with a traditional glasshouse” has had the thumbs up from West Oxfordshire District Council. The couple even had a special eco-survey and biodiversity survey to ensure the bid was passed.
Previously, Becks, 48, and former Spice Girl Posh, 49, enlisted Chelsea Flower Show winner Marcus Barnett to create a two-tier “fairy tale” garden that makes the most of their two-acre estate in the picturesque area. The grounds of their pile are made up of wild meadow grass and an orchard with 23 trees, along with two vegetable patches, a 60ft croquet lawn and a lake.

The former Manchester United and England skipper has also asked for planning permission to put in another road while the greenhouse is built.
However, one of the Beckhams’ neighbours has complained about this, saying: “I object to this because it is a needless use of materials.
“There is already an access road so what is the point of laying another road just to build a fancy greenhouse? That seems a waste of resources.”
