A United Airlines flight reportedly had to be DIVERTED after an unruly business class passenger disrupted the flight - because he didn't 'like his meal'.

In a video, a man can be heard telling staff: "You don't stand up on your rights, you end up like you," and claiming that he's paying thousands of dolalrs

A one-way business class seat on the Houston to Amsterdam United flight typically costs around $6,927.

The unruly passenger may have been intoxicated when he learned that he wouldn’t get his first choice of meal, aviation insider XJonNYC tweeted after speaking with someone on the flight.

The Twitter user said the passenger had just one message for the man who delayed his flight: “F–k you.”

It remains unclear what meal the man had gotten het up over, but United typically offers a full three-course meal to business class passengers, with a main choice between ribs, salmon or pasta.

Flight tracking data shows the plane took off on time - but was diverted to Chicago just two hours later, as it circled O’Hare airport to use up fuel so it could land.

On social media, one person joked: "I flew business class and when they got to me they did not have my meal choice. You know what happened? I chose a different meal."

Travel review website Live and Let’s Fly says that business class passengers flying from Newark to Amsterdam had a choice between seared beef short rib, seared lemon grass salmon, or ricotta salata and wild honey manicotti as their main meal.

In a statement United Airlines said: “United flight 20 from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Amsterdam diverted to O’Hare International Airport and landed safely following a passenger disturbance.

"Law enforcement met the aircraft at the gate and escorted the passenger off the plane. The aircraft then continued to Amsterdam.”

Happily the flight landed just three hours late in Amsterdam.

The incident comes as bad behaviour from passengers continues to plague airlines around the world.

Recently, an American Airlines flight was disrupted when a woman freaked out and tried to leave the plane over a “not real” passenger sitting by the rear.

A comedian onboard accused the woman of putting up an act that delayed his flight by three hours.

The “f–king nutjob just lost her mind in front of the whole plane,” the comic said in a viral video, noting that by the time he arrived at Orlando, he had missed the fireworks show he was traveling to see.
