This is the moment a fearless feline cat-apults herself on to a neighbour’s roof.

Calico kitty Millie made her move after growing suspicious about the lights on a Ring security device. She had clawed her way up to the top of Buster Keanan’s garage in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. His camera then caught the moment the white, black and ginger moggy pounced like a superhero.

The 11-second clip, posted onto YouTube last week, shows the white, black and ginger clamber on top of the garage, eye up the camera and then jump at it. She flies through the air with her front paws out in the amusing footage.

Buster, 56, said: “We see a lot of cats on our Ring cameras, including our own. In this instance our neighbour’s cat, Millie, stars in the video. We found the clip hilarious. We bought Ring devices five years ago for security reasons. But it is also fun to see videos like this.”

A Ring spokesman said: "Although it appears she hit the camera directly, rest assured she made the jump."

According to a new report by Ring, individuals are willing to pay £95 each to ensure their home is burglar-proof over the next 12 months, which equates to a significant £2,303 over the average period UK residents live in their home.

That explains why the company's security devices are becoming increasing popular, as they monitor properties and alert homeowners of interactions at or near the front door, or roof, via an app.

It was founded as Doorbot in 2013 and rebranded as Ring one year later, but, in 2018, the firm was acquired by Amazon for an estimated value of approximately $1.5 billion (£1.1 billion).
