Muhammad Ali's MMA fighter grandson was awarded a certificate of appreciation after saving a woman from a potential attack.

Biaggio Ali Walsh is a former model and American football player who ditched those careers to pursue MMA full-time. The 24-year-old holds an amateur record of 2-1 in the cage and is currently signed to the Professional Fighters League, winning his debut for the promotion last November by knockout in less than a minute.

The grandson-of-a-legend also works part-time as a security guard for the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas. Just two weeks before his latest knockout win, Walsh was on duty for the nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning when he encountered a drunken woman who was being led away by a man she didn't know. Walsh stepped in to save the woman from what could have been a dangerous situation and the MMA fighter has since been awarded for his heroic efforts.

"This guy was trying to walk this girl out and the girl was really drunk, she couldn't even walk," Walsh told Mirror Fighting of the situation. "I said to her 'do you know this guy?' and she said no. He was trying to take her away from her friend, so I asked her friend 'do you know this guy' and she also said no.

"I pulled the guy aside and he said 'I know her like a sister, we grew up together'. I looked at him like 'you're lying to me, you don't know her'. He flipped me off and I got him stay there, our supervisors took him outside and metro dealt with him. They banned him from the club and when he tried to go back into the club, that's when he got arrested. I was just doing my job."

Walsh has only been working as a security guard since last August, taking up the part-time gig to keep busy when he's not in the gym. The PFL star trains twice a day and is scheduled to make his return to the cage in April against a yet-to-be-announced opponent. Walsh is still young in his amateur career and he wants to get four wins under his belt this year.

"I'm scheduled to fight on April 7 in Vegas, my main goal is to win that fight and just get as many fights as I can this year, which is hopefully four. I want to be an exciting fighter, a fighter that people want to watch. Whenever my coach thinks I'm ready to turn professional then I will," he added.
