Mark Zuckerberg used Khabib Nurmagomedov's famous catchphrase "send location" when he accepted a UFC fight with billionaire tech rival Elon Musk earlier this year.

Zuckerberg, who founded Facebook and now runs the newly-named Meta, was called out for a cage fight by Tesla boss and new Twitter supremo Musk last month. And despite neither man having ever fought before and a massive size difference that favours the South African, the 39-year-old accepted publicly and in private.

UFC boss Dana White immediately got to work on trying to make the fight happen, reportedly speaking with both men and confirming their interest as being legitimate. It came on the heels of his insistence that the promotion didn't "do gimmick fights", but he promises that this showdown will be different.

Musk claims that Italian officials have offered the famous Colosseum in Rome as a location for the bout, with White declaring that both were keen to make the fantasy fight a reality. “Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this," he told TMZ. "They both want to do it. Mark Zuckerberg hit me up first and said, ‘Is he serious?’

“And I said, ‘I don’t know, let me ask him,’ and I asked him and he said, ”yeah, I’m dead serious’. It would break all pay-per-view records. These guys would raise, you know, hundreds of millions of dollars for charity and, you know, you don’t have to be a big fight fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it.”

The feud began when Musk tweeted a jab at Zuckerberg, telling Twitter personality Nario Nawfal that he was concerned about Meta attempting to monopolise social media. "I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options," he wrote. "At least it will be 'sane'. Was worried there for a moment."

A fan then joked that Musk should "be careful" as his rival is now doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, to which the Twitter owner replied: "I’m up for a cage match if he is lol." Zuckerberg then channeled his inner Khabib with an Instagram story that read "Send location," referencing the Russian's callout of Conor McGregor.
