A former Eton College master has pleaded guilty to killing his elderly mother while the pair were living together in an apartment in the Cotswolds.
Matthew Corry, 45, appeared via a videolink and admitted to the manslaughter of 84-year-old Beatrice Corry, who was found in the street with head injuries.
Corry spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea at the short hearing.
He had previously denied murdering his mother at the beginning of this year.
At around 12:30am on January 6, police officers were called out to High Street in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire where Mrs Corry was discovered with head injuries.

Corry is due to be sentenced in person on Monday, July 10 after prosecutors at Bristol Crown Court accepted his amended plea and was remanded in custody.

CEO Helen Makaritis paid tribute to Mrs Corry and was described as an "incredible lady" and a "force of nature" by her team.
The active pensioner would regularly carry out a five-mile walk before the start of her shift in the shop and was, "never without a scarf or a twinkle in her eye and loved by all of us."
Corry worked at the prestige public school until 2008 and was a biology teacher at fee-paying Godolphin and Latymer in London until April 2020.
