Cristiano Ronaldo left American YouTube star IShowSpeed slumped to his knees in tears after finally agreeing to meet up.

The 18-year-old has amassed a huge following online for his antics, most relating to the Portuguese superstar. He has amassed over a billion views and 17m subscribers on the platform.

His previous attempts to meet the five-time Ballon d’Or winner have ended in huge frustration. He travelled over to the UK to watch Ronaldo in action for Manchester United, only to be told that he was not included in the side, triggering a wild reaction. He tried once again on Saturday evening following Portugal’s Euro qualifying win against Bosnia & Herzegovina. This time, his attempt ended in success.

After first meeting AC Milan star Rafael Leao as the players left Benfica’s Estadio da Luz, IShowSpeed was then left starstruck as Ronaldo pulled up in his car.

With clear shock etched across his face, he exclaimed: “No, oh my god! Please, please can I get a picture? Oh my god, relax. Okay. I’m trying.”

Ronaldo was more than happy to oblige as he got out of his car to finally grant a picture. “Oh my god. I’m sorry. Oh my god. Ronaldo,” Speed continued to scream.

He then asked Ronaldo to perform his iconic SIU celebration. The forward was once again happy to oblige as the pair clasped hands before jumping in the air in celebration.

Whilst Ronaldo soon had to get back into his car to leave the stadium, Speed’s reaction then grew even more sensational. He continued to reiterate how much he loved the Portuguese and his family.

He then dropped to his knees in the road and started crying and screamed “I did it” multiple times, whilst his own personal security ensured that he was not mobbed by fans ironically attempting to get a picture.

The meeting with IShowSpeed was just the latest intriguing incident for Ronaldo in what was a rollercoaster of an evening. Portugal took a huge step towards qualifying for next year’s European championships that are set to take place in Germany.

Former Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes was twice on the scoresheet, whilst treble winner Bernardo Silva also found the net. Whilst Ronaldo was not amongst the goals, he still got noticed on the pitch.

The Al-Nassr striker was approached by a pitch invader, who dropped to their knees in front of him. They then got up and hoisted Ronaldo into the air before the pair once again performed his iconic celebration as they threw their arms towards the floor.

The veteran will be in action for Portugal once again on Tuesday evening as they travel to Reykjavík to take on Iceland in their latest Euro qualifier.
