The latest gadget gongs have just been dished out by the tech experts at T3 and Android has taken the top spot when it comes to smartphones. However, it's not a shiny Samsung Galaxy that's claimed the coveted prize with Google swooping in as the surprise winner in 2023.
The firm's latest Pixel 7 Pro is the Best Phone according to T3 with it beating a host of rivals including the iPhone and devices from other Android makers such as OnePlus, Oppo and Xiaomi.
Although that news probably won’t please Apple, the US firm still has plenty to shout about with it picking up a swathe of other awards including the Reader’s Choice. Yes, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is clearly proving popular with fans as it claimed the No.1 place in the public vote. The Watch Ultra also got Best Smartwatch and the new MacBook Air M2 is the Best Laptop.

There were also trophies for BMW with its iX M60 getting Best Car, Philips Hue took the top spot for Best Outdoor Lights and Samsung’s S95C got Best TV.
