A popular music show is said to have been axed by the BBC after just one series, despite A-list guests and a comedian host.

That's My Jam will reportedly not be renewed for a second season.

The TV series was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan and is based on segments from American programme The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

It saw celebs take part in mini-games such as Launch The Mic, Air Guitar, Don’t Drop The Beat and Slay It, Don’t Spray It.

Two teams of famous faces competed in the challenges to test their music knowledge.

Not only that, they had to really prove their own singing talents by hitting all the notes.

Guests on the BBC show included Aloe Blacc, Amber Riley, Becky Hill and Nicole Scherzinger.

That's My Jam also saw appearances from Billy Boyd, Michelle Visage, Alesha Dixon, Kevin McHale and Salt-N-Pepa's Cheryl James.

Despite the big names, some viewers weren't impressed by the show as they went as far to say it was the "worst programme" on Saturday night TV.

Whilst TV critics branded it "utterly unremarkable".

The Guardian's Jack Seale went on to call it an "aimless celebrity singalong is a litany of failed attempts to be interesting".

He added: "We don’t need to see any of That’s My Jam again."

When the show was announced back in July 2022, Mo said: "It was such a thrill to work with Jimmy and his outstanding team on the pilot of this show - and now we get to do a series!

"This is such an exceptional format and I’m so honoured that the BBC and NBCUniversal are letting me bring it to the UK."

Kate Phillips, Director of Unscripted at the BBC, added said: "With marvellous Mo Gilligan leading proceedings, That’s My Jam will see competitive celebrities facing off like never before, in a series of musical games guaranteed to provide a multitude of surprises and singalong moments!"
