A desperate hunt is underway for a couple who have disappeared with their one-year-old baby.

Jurian and Brisilda Baxhia are thought to be somewhere in the north of England with their baby and police have issued an urgent appeal to try and locate them.

Durham Police have said that they believe the baby could have an “undiagnosed medical condition”.

The couple and their child have not been seen since they were at Sheffield Children’s Hospital in March earlier this year.

The family are believed to have connections in the northeast of England as well as South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Doctors are keen to have a look at the child and carry out further examination due to the possibility of an undiagnosed medical condition.

Durham Police stated: "Can you help us find couple Jurian and Brisilda Baxhia, who are believed to be somewhere in the north of England with their one-year-old baby?

"Police are trying to trace the couple because it is thought the baby could have an undiagnosed medical condition, which requires further examination by doctors.

"The family were last seen at Sheffield Children’s Hospital in March this year but have connections in County Durham and Northumbria as well across South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
