Kim Kardashian has uncovered the only destination she's travelled to where she hasn't been recognised.
The 42-year-old is well known globally after rising to fame as a reality star on her family's E! Entertainment show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
With a slew of famous pals, including Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and her former relationship with world renowned rapper Kanye West, Kim was crowned of the one most influential people in 2015 and has since grown her following to over 282.9 million on her social media platforms.
During a chat with host Jay Shetty on the On Purpose podcast, Kim discussed the struggles of living in the public eye and her pleasantly surprising experience in Japan.
“Everyone is really respectful, and even if they might recognise you, they don’t ask for photos,” she said. “It’s a really amazing experience. I think it’s important.
Kim Kardashian weighs in on sister feud after Kourtney's sad 'outsider' claims“Listen, I love my life. I love everything that comes along with it,” Kim continued, sharing the positive impact the respect for privacy had on her and her four kids: North, nine, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, four.
“I am not complaining but a little glimpse of that I think, especially for the little ones, is so good.”
Kim also shared how her children have been impacted by their mother's fame and how they've become accustomed to being surrounded by paparazzi.
“I think they grew up seeing the cameras and they grew up seeing that, even as babies,” she said. “We’d walk out and there’d be paparazzi, so it’s not really something that they acknowledge a lot.”
However, her eldest daughter North has been vocal about wanting space from photographers and held up a sign asking them to "stop" filming her at a fashion show in Paris, which Kim found admirable.
“My daughter’s really vocal. She’ll tell them when she doesn’t want them around and to leave her alone and to stop,” Kim explained. “I love that they used their little voices.”
