Tyson Fury has been offered a fight with Jon Jones in the UFC octagon by promotional boss Dana White after the pair feuded on social media last week.
The legendary world heavyweight champions are two of the best athletes in the world, and considered pound-for-pound greats in their respective sports. But given Jones' grappling background and the elite level of Fury's boxing, it is widely believed neither man could come close to winning in the other's discipline if they were to cross over.
Last week, Fury was enraged by commentator Joe Rogan's claims on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, when the veteran octagon voice declared that in a street fight, he would put all of his money on a Jones win. He quickly called out the UFC heavyweight champion, before later insisting that he does his fighting in the ring.
And White has now told BroBible he would be willing to make the super-fight happen, saying: “Jon Jones is the baddest dude on the planet. There's no debate, there's no denying it. I don't care what anybody says, they can try to spin it, a lot of this stuff is clickbait and you know how I am.
"If Tyson Fury really wants to fight Jon Jones in the UFC I will make it happen, here's my thing, right now; 'Tyson if you’re serious let me know', Tyson and I have a good relationship. I like Tyson Fury and if he's serious let's find out. Listen, we can talk all we want, Tyson can talk, Jon can talk, I can talk, we can all talk let’s do it.
Logan Paul and KSI announce new partnership with UFC president Dana White"If Tyson's serious then we can all do it. Listen, I got Floyd Mayweather to fight, we paid Floyd and got Floyd the number he wanted. If Tyson Fury is serious and he wants to fight Jon Jones in the UFC then let's start talking."
The feud started when Rogan insisted Jones would win on the streets during a recent episode of his show, telling guest Andrew Schulz: “You want to talk about who’s the baddest man on the planet? If Jon Jones and Tyson Fury are locked into a room, I’m pushing all of my chips on black.

"Tyson Fury is an amazing boxer – he doesn’t have a f***ing chance in hell of making it out of that room. He has no chance of making it out of that room. Zero chance. [Fury] would have to catch Jon immediately with one punch, and I just don’t see that happening, man. The threat of the takedown looms so large. That shot will come so unexpectedly. When he gets his hands around you, you’ll be so stunned.”
Fury hit back, slamming Rogan personally and adding in a social media video: “I heard Joe Rogan say something about me, and I’ve been off all the social medias and didn’t reply to that little p****, little f***ing midget, bald-headed midget. I heard him say that Jon Jones could f*** me up if we were in the room together.
“I don’t think so. Not a man born from a mother could f*** me up, in a room, on our own. Whatever happens in that room, I’d be walking out. Not a f***ing problem.”
Jones then replied on Twitter, writing: "Hey Tyson, it seems like Joe may have struck a nerve. I’ll admit there’s no one touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not let that confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage. If you ever want to put some of those questions you got going on to rest, give Dana a call. I’ll help you out.
