Convicted murderer Jeremy Bamber could be cleared of his charges following his claims against the police, which were found not to have been properly investigated.
Bamber, now 62, is serving life for the murders of adoptive parents Nevill and June Bamber, both 61, his sister Sheila, 28, and her six-year-old twins Daniel and Nicholas at White House Farm in Tolleshunt D’Arcy in 1985.
Now, his freedom looks to be a step closer after the Independent Office for Police Conduct said cops breached their statutory duty by not referring 29 serious complaints to them about the case. The Criminal Cases Review Commission is currently looking at fresh evidence submitted by his lawyers.

He was found guilty of killing his five family members in 1985, which was dubbed the White House Farm murders, so he would inherit the £500,000 estate.

Bamber claims his sister Sheila, who suffered from schizophrenia, shot the family before turning the gun on herself.
However, a key part of the prosecution case was that her arms would not have been long enough to reach the trigger if the silencer – which was spattered with her blood – was attached to the rifle.
He is reported to have told fellow inmates that he was spending his last Christmas behind bars because of his "utterly irrefutable" innocence.
Bamber said: "I firmly expect that the freedom that was so unjustly taken from me will soon be restored."
The mass murderer has also spoken about launching a legal challenge against his conviction as far back as 2020.
Speaking from HMP Wakefield last year, he told MailOnline: "After 36 years it can now be proven with absolute certainty I did not burn my dad with the rifle barrel or the rifle's sound moderator, as my trial jury were misled into believing."

Bamber lost a bid to bring legal action over a refusal by the prison service to downgrade him from maximum security in October 2020.
He was pursuing a High Court challenge over a decision taken in March 2020 by the director of the long-term and high security estate - part of the prisons and probation service - not to downgrade him from a Category A prisoner, or to direct that an oral hearing on the issue take place.
Category A prisoners are considered the most dangerous to the public and held in maximum security conditions.
