Anna Wintour finally appeared to confirm her romance with Hollywood actor Bill Nighy as they arrived arm-in-arm on the Met Gala red carpet on Monday evening.
The Vogue editor-in-chief who oversees the prestigious event took to the red carpet in Chanel spring/summer 2023 couture with Bill on her arm as the pair made their official debut as a couple.
They attended the Met Gala together, embracing this year's theme dedicated to the late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.
Close friends of Anna are reportedly “thrilled for them to be making it official at the Met," according to sources in Page Six.
Bill and Anna, both 73, have been sparking romance rumours since 2018 when they were spotted attending multiple plays together.

Anna wore Chanel (Getty Images)At the time, the Love Actually star brushed off the rumours, saying: "There are a lot of rumours about me and probably about Anna.
However, following their appearance in 2018, onlookers were led to believe their close friendship had blossomed into a relationship after Anna was spotted "beaming" while out with Bill for a coffee.
She had even removed her trademark sunglasses to enjoy the moment with the actor.
"She looked happy and in very good company. She was beautifully made-up and she was smiling so much — she had her sunglasses off the entire time!” the source said. “They were sitting together in a corner enjoying a frothy coffee.”

Meanwhile, Anna was first married to David Shaffer from 1984 until 1999. They share 35-year-old daughter Bee and 37-year-old son Charlie. She then married Shelby Bryan in 2004 but divorced in 2020.
Anna spoke to reporters at the event about the theme, titled Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. She said: "It’s very emotional for me. I loved Karl so much.”
Before the event, Anna had acknowledged how much of a "snob" Karl was during his life, alluding to his many controversies, including being openly fatphobic and against the Me Too movement, but admitted that his influence on fashion is undeniable.

‘It shows how adored he was, how respected, how creative. You don’t stay in those very high-profile positions with such an incredible degree of success. That shows you his passion,” she added. “He would love to take on a new challenge and do different things.”
