Stacey Solomon has seemingly hinted at the real reason for washing her bed sheets once a week.
The star is known for her organising habits but she sparked quite a debate when she revealed how often she tends to change her bed sheets. Stacey spoke to Fleur East and her co-star James Barr as he revealed he was recently single so was looking for cleaning advice.
She confirmed that she changes her bedsheets once every week, but James seemed surprised by her comment and said it was too often. Stacey then changed her answer to once a month and joked about "wallowing in your own filth".
She said: "Do you know what? While you are single and enjoying that life, wallow in your own filth for a little while. You've got no one to impress. You know when you're single and you don't have to shave your legs? So you just go full Gruffalo. I feel it's the same."
Her discussion about bed sheets caused a furious debate amongst fans, with some saying once a week was not enough whilst others said it was far too much and once a month was more on the money for them.
Stacey Solomon's hack to remove pen mark from furniture with household itemThe topic of beds and bed sheets came up on Stacey's BBC show Sort Your Life Out tonight, as she and her team headed to help a family of four declutter their home and make it more liveable.
As they looked around the house to see how they could help, Stacey and cleaner Iwan headed upstairs to the parents' bedroom to see what they could do to make things more manageable for the pair.
It was then that they made the discovery of a litter tray in the bedroom, when Stacey made a confession about her own pets.
"I love my animals, my dogs will sleep in the bed with us sometimes and I love them but I do feel like your bed is your sanctuary and maybe the cat could find a better place for its toilet," she explained, hinting at why she likes to change her bedsheets so often.
Stacey has her cocker spaniel Teddy and her sausage dog Peanut, who are much-loved by the family. In December 2021, the TV presenter and Loose Women star lost her dog Theo after '11 wonderful years' with her family.
