Considered one of Hollywood's longest lasting couples, rock legend Jon Bon Jovi and wife Dorothea Hurley have enjoyed a 34-year marriage alongside their four children.
The high school sweethearts tied the knot in style in Las Vegas back in 1989 after dating for almost a decade and are parents to children Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 28, Jake, 20 and Romeo, 19.
And the family are getting ready to welcome a Hollywood A-Lister into their tight-knit family circle after son Jake's engagement to 19-year-old Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.
Dorothea has admitted to trying to shield their kids from the spotlight, with her telling People magazine: "We never really drag the kids to things."
"I never pointed at the TV and said, 'There's Daddy!' We try hard just to give our kids a normal life," Dorothea added.
Despite their happy family life, the Bon Jovi's have struggled with their own family issues, including a drug over dose suffered by their eldest daughter Stephanie.
When she was 19 she was hospitalised after overdosing on Opioids. Speaking about the ordeal back in 2013, Jon said: "It was horrible, a horrible moment. It was my worst moment as a father.
"She was by no means sticking needles in her arms. But there's a lot of synthetic stuff in the world and a lot of temptation and access and pressures that just a generation ago you and I didn't know about.
"I feel it was a terrible tragic lesson of life but I thank God every day because she is whole. It happened and it has gone. I know personally people whose sons and daughters, where it was a lot, lot worse. That could have been Stephanie."
Later in 2016, Jon opened up about his personal struggles with mental health, admitting that it was a "very difficult time" but thanked his wife Dorothea for her support.
"It was a very, very difficult time that I haven't fully rebounded from yet but my wife has been phenomenal. Without her, I am not sure how I would have coped," he told us.Jon also shared that he suffered a breakdown in 1991 after becoming exhausted touring back-to-back around the release of Bon Jovi's third album Slippery When Wet.
He confessed that he contemplated suicide by jumping out of a moving car and seeked help from a psychologist.
"I am not ready to share it in full but it was not pretty. But I am working towards it. It was similar to that period in retrospect," he said. "I found acting at that time which gave me a release. There was no release this time around but there were just as much difficulties."
