UFC legend Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson knocked out an event promoter last night with one hand after being tied to fellow fighter Bob Sapp for a 'siamese boxing' match.

The former light-heavyweight champion teamed up with Sapp, a journeyman MMA fighter famous for his monstrous size and infamous for his throwing of fights, to compete with the event promoter at Fight Circus in Thailand last night. And after the advent of 'tag team boxing' last month on a KSI-promoted event, the pair took it a step further with their 'siamese' fight.

Jackson and Sapp were tied together wearing a big t-shirt and both donned American garb to face event organisers Andrew Wood and Jon Nutt in the bout. Rounds were one-and-a-half minutes long, not that it mattered given that it was stopped at multiple intervals and later continued after the crowd demanded more.

Nutt had been dropped with a vicious liver shot in the first, dragging his teammate down with him, and despite seemingly quitting in the corner was allowed to continue. The second was a similarly farcical affair with the bout just stopping with 20 seconds left after Jackson and Sapp went after the referee.

As he attempted to break up a clinch of some description, the pair throwing shots at him before he decided to take the microphone and regain order. He asked the fans if they wanted another round, and after an intensive chant the event was continued, with Jackson putting a stop to proceedings in the third.

In their post-fight interview with a man dressed as a clown, Jackson declared that he is "a different man when I step in the ring". Nutt then joked that "they are champ for a reason." The American then added: "I wanted to say that was a slobberknocker, they bring the heat, but it just wasn't hot enough."

Sapp then added: "It was hot as hell, but at this time we're going to make it hotter. Let's do it again!" When his rival made reference to his famous line from Adam Sandler's The Longest Mile where his character broke a bone, he apologised in character, saying "I'm sorry, I done broke your ribs."
