Jeremy Renner 's nephew has recalled the terrifying moment he 'didn't think his uncle was alive' after the actor saved him from being crushed by a snow plough.

Alexander Fries has recalled seeing his uncle after the accident and said there was 'a pool of blood coming from his head'.

Jeremy, 52, suffered 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung and had his liver pierced by a shattered rib when he heroically risked his life for his family member.

The Marvel star was left fighting for his life after he was crushed by his 14,330lb snow plough on New Year's Day as he tried to stop the vehicle from hitting his nephew.

He also had a lung collapse and a rib bone pierced his liver.

The programme, which will air on April 6, will also feature a recording of the 911 call made following the accident in which the actor can be heard moaning in pain.

Asked if he sees the same face when he looks in the mirror now, Jeremy replied: "No, I see a lucky man."

"I chose to survive. You’re not going to kill me. No way," he says in the teaser trailer.
