UFC star Marvin Vettori caught on video dropping Italian rapper in wild brawl

Marvin Vettori was caught on camera punching an Italian rapper and professional boxer during a brawl at a boxing event on Friday evening.

The UFC middleweight was in attendance at the event to watch Ivan Zucco beat Germaine Brown event in headlining act of the Milan event, but tempers boiled over between him and rapper Omar Nguale Ilunga. According to Al Zullino, Vettori was in attendance at the event alongside his friend Tony Effe who is also an Italian rapper.

Effe seemingly had a disagreement with Ilunga, who is also known as Ion Real Deal. Vettori was then involved in the argument and could be seen on video punching Ilunga, which caused him to fall to the ground. Ilunga is also a professional boxer and boasts a record of 23 wins and 2 losses.

Vettori was recently in action at UFC 286 last weekend as he won a split decision against Roman Dolidze in the English capital. It was the Italian's first win in over a year and he suggested a potential fight against Jared Cannonier next. Both Vettori and Cannonier have previously challenged for the middleweight belt, losing decisions to former titleholder Israel Adesanya.

"The only guy I didn’t fight in the top 10 is Cannonier. Maybe that’s what’s next," he said. Vettori is also open to serving as a backup fighter for the middleweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Adesanya next month as he added: "Listen, if someone gets injured, I’ll be right there. I want to be active, and I’m going to stay ready. If I have the chance to fight Pereira, you can count on me for sure.

“I like him as a champion, way more than Adesanya. I like the Adesanya fight, too. We’ll see, line them up. I believe I still need a few more fights, and I don’t mind that. Of course, the way I am, I want to rush to the title, and for sure Pereira would be a great fight for me. listen, I’m right there.

“When you’re in the top five, it doesn’t matter if you’re No. 1, 2 or 3. You’re in the top-five. The occasion arises and you have some momentum, you can catch that occasion and win that fight. There are a lot of examples of that. So we’ll see how this fight between Adesanya and Pereira plays out."
