Estate agents have removed a listing for an 'astonishing' home on the market for just £160,000 after it was ridiculed online.

The "two-bedroom" property had bare walls, no first-storey floor, an unfinished roof, and plants growing inside it - leading online viewers to call it ‘feral’.

The house in Shirehampton, Bristol was advertised on Rightmove as "extremely exciting" opportunity which was for "cash buyers only".

Several members of the public disagreed with the estate agent’s hopeful assessment of the building.

Pictures show the two-bed home with no first floor, which would usually be supporting the bedrooms, and a gigantic hole in the roof.

Withered plants hang down from the ceiling and the bare unpainted walls and floors present a less than homely aspect to potential buyers.

The listing by estate agent Haart describes the property as having "huge potential" and claims planning permission has already been granted to turn the former coach house - which once housed horses - into a two-bed home.

“The fantastic opportunity not to be around for long,” house hunters are warned on the listing - despite the fact that the “astonishing” property has been on the market for six months already.

The asking price was lowered to £160,000 in September 2022.

Almost 20,000 people had viewed the images of the former “fire station coach house” leading to scorn from commenters, with one likening the property to a “traumatic Grand Designs episode”.

Another mocked Haart's optimistic Rightmove description, labelling it as 'feral'.

They wrote: “This takes the p**s. I wouldn't even go so far as saying it's a house. How the hell is this exciting? It's a barn. Absolutely feral.”

The estate agents removed the listing from Rightmove following the comments.

The Mirror has contacted Haart for comment.
