KSI ready to snub UFC legend Tyron Woodley and instead fight Joe Fournier

KSI is set to snub a crossover fight with Tyron Woodley to instead take on Joe Fournier in the ring.

The YouTube star - real name JJ Olatunji - is set to return to the ring again this year before pursuing a mega-fight with influencer rival Jake Paul. Last time out, KSI defeated late replacement FaZe Temperrr on the latest instalment of his Misfits Boxing series, before naming Woodley and Fournier as potential opponents for his next outing.

Woodley has already faced Paul twice and was brutally knocked out in their second meeting, but was expected to get the call to face KSI before the Briton instead chose Dillon Danis. With Danis now out of the picture, Woodley will now push to get another shot and called out his new rival on Twitter.

He wrote: "If KSI would ever be a man. And a man of his word. He in his lane. I said my piece and agreed to the terms. What God has for me is for me! He asked me to fight. not chasing a grown man down. That is borderline bullying."

KSI then issued a dismissive response appearing to prioritise a fight with Fournier, replying: "Hmmm, should I: A - Fight a tired Tyron Woodley that hasn’t won a single boxing fight and got knocked out by Jake Paul by standing still? B - Fight A pro boxer with a better boxing record than Tommy Fury?"

Woodley was deep in negotiations with KSI for the British fighter's January return but after leaking the contract, he was cast aside with Danis the preferred opponent. Another option for KSI was professional boxer Fournier, who boasts an undefeated record against limited opposition.

But the famous YouTuber, who boasts over 15 million subscribers on his channel, previously suggested that a fight with Woodley next just doesn't excite him after the brutal nature of his defeat last time out. "Woodley doesn't excite me, if I'm being honest," KSI said on a YouTube video. "It's, you know, he's lost two fights.

"He hasn't won a fight in how many years. It's kinda, you know, he's kind of been done. It's not super exciting but if people want it, if people want to see how I do compared to Jake [Paul], yeah I'll do it. And you know, I'll just destroy him in quicker time."

Many see the former UFC champion Woodley as a more accurate measuring stick for KSI's boxing ability, given fans will be able to compare his performance against Paul's as the pair have teased a mega-fight. KSI is intending to meet Paul at the end of the year and already has a winner-takes-all agreement in place providing the 'Problem Child' wins his fight with Tommy Fury this month.
